About
Povir is a state-backed EdTech platform that helps Ukrainian 7th, 9th, and 11th graders improve their skills in Ukrainian, math, and English through personalized, gamified learning experiences.
Challenge
The Ukrainian education system faces significant challenges in ensuring equal access to quality education, especially for students in key transitional grades. Many learners struggle with foundational subjects, and traditional learning methods often lack the engagement needed to sustain motivation. In addition, teachers and special educational needs learners require tailored tools to make education inclusive and efficient.
Solution
We designed an intuitive, gamified platform that motivates students through achievement systems, mascot customization, and in-platform currency earned by completing educational tasks. The platform offers personalized learning paths, including focused sprints with dedicated tutors for SEN learners. Teachers benefit from integrated planning tools, such as a smart calendar and built-in rewards system, enabling a more dynamic and student-centered teaching experience.
Key personas
The platform has three key personas: student, teacher, and SEN-teacher.
User flows
We created a User Flow for each role. Then, we detailed the flow of each persona using architecture.
Sprint system
After meeting with a SEN teacher, the student gets access to sprints – online sessions where they can quickly get help with any subject.
Marathon
A cycle of 10 online meetings with the same trainer to improve learning outcomes in a subject chosen by the student.
Achievements & badges
To further motivate students, we developed a system of achievements and rewards that can be exchanged for in-platform decorations for the Mascot. Using the platform’s internal currency, which can be earned by completing «quests,» students can purchase «POVIR» merchandise. Teachers, in turn, award these badges to each student after a lesson.
