SoloChat is an AI-powered chat application built specifically for MacBook, designed to feel like a natural, lightweight extension of the OS rather than another heavy browser tab.

Challenge
Most AI chat apps on macOS ship as cluttered, resource-heavy interfaces with sprawling widescreen layouts, missing personalization, and weak accessibility and error handling — all of which drain memory and chip away at user trust and satisfaction.
Solution
We designed a minimalist, compact interface with clear input cues and adaptive personalization, keeping the app fast and lightweight while still feeling tailored to each user. Accessibility features like screen-reader support, friendlier error handling, and more concise responses cut down on information overload, and a live-sources search feature lets SoloChat surface and compare relevant references, projects and visuals directly inside the conversation.
