The European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) has applied across the EU since 28 June 2025. It covers e-commerce, consumer banking, e-books, passenger transport services, electronic communications and audio-visual media services, and it applies to companies outside the EU, including US companies, that sell these products or services to EU consumers. In practice, websites and apps are expected to meet EN 301 549, which points to WCAG 2.1 AA.
Automated scanners and overlay widgets do not fix the real problems: low contrast, missing focus states, inaccessible forms, checkout flows that do not work with a keyboard or screen reader. These are design and code problems. Cosmos Studio redesigns them at the source, in your design system and front-end, so new pages stay accessible.
We work alongside your legal or audit partner. We do the design and development work that makes your product accessible.
We review key flows such as sign-up, search, product pages, checkout and account settings against WCAG 2.1 AA and list the issues by impact on users and by effort to fix.
We rebuild colors, typography, spacing, focus states and components so they meet contrast and interaction requirements by default, and document how to use them.
We redesign forms, navigation, error messages, checkout and media players so they work with a keyboard, screen readers and zoom, without losing your brand or conversion.
We build semantic HTML, ARIA where needed, keyboard support and reduced-motion options on Webflow, React or Next.js, so what you approve is what ships.
The EAA requires service providers to publish information on how their service meets the accessibility requirements. We help you prepare the content of your accessibility statement for your legal team to review.
Accessibility done well makes products easier for everyone and keeps your brand intact.
We design to WCAG 2.1 AA, the level referenced by EN 301 549, and use WCAG 2.2 as best practice where it helps.
Changes go into your design system and components, so every future page inherits them.
Overlay tools do not make a product accessible and can get in the way of assistive technology. We fix the real interface.
Accessible does not mean plain. We keep the visual quality that earned us 60+ design awards.
We check designs and builds with keyboard navigation, screen readers, zoom and contrast tools before release.
We do not issue legal opinions or certificates. We work with your legal or audit partner and give them what they need.

It applies to companies that offer in-scope products or services to consumers in the EU, such as e-commerce, consumer banking, e-books, passenger transport and electronic communications, including companies based outside the EU. Microenterprises with fewer than 10 employees and no more than €2 million in annual turnover or balance sheet are exempt for services. Please confirm your situation with your legal advisor.
EN 301 549 is the harmonised standard, and for web content it points to WCAG 2.1 level AA. We design and build to WCAG 2.1 AA and use WCAG 2.2 as best practice.
No. Overlays do not fix the underlying design and code, and they can interfere with assistive technology. Real accessibility comes from the interface itself.
Not always. Often the fastest path is to fix the design system and the most important flows, such as forms and checkout. Our review shows what is needed.
No. We do not issue certificates or legal opinions. We do the design and development work and support your legal or audit partner with documentation.
Projects start at $5,000, and hourly rates start at $50. A review of key flows takes 1–2 weeks; a redesign of the design system and main flows usually takes 4–8 weeks.
