Counter-UAS operators work under pressure: many tracks, false alarms, several sensors and very little time. If the interface hides the real threat, buries the key status or makes a critical action easy to trigger by mistake, the system fails at the worst moment.
Cosmos Studio designs counter-UAS and air defense interfaces that put the right threat first, explain what each sensor sees and make every critical action deliberate. We designed defense software with MIL-STD-2525 symbology for Bravo1Alpha and built the website for SerenX, a US maker of hand-launched autonomous interceptors. For the wider picture, see our defense software UX page.
From the first detection to a confirmed result.
Map-first views with tracks, zones and protected assets, plus a track list sorted by threat, so operators see what matters first even when the sky gets busy.
Alert levels, grouping and quick classify or dismiss actions that cut noise from birds and friendly drones without hiding a real threat.
Views that combine radar, RF, EO/IR and acoustic data around one track, and show how confident the system is, so operators trust what they see.
Clear steps from identification to response, with confirmation for critical actions, visible status of each effector and a clear result after every engagement.
Touch-friendly layouts for portable systems, with night modes and clear offline and degraded states for use in the field.
We design with reference to human factors guidance such as MIL-STD-1472 and situation awareness research.
The most urgent track is always the easiest thing to see and act on.
MIL-STD-2525 and NATO APP-6 frames, colors and modifiers used correctly on maps and lists.
Priority levels and grouping that prevent alert fatigue during long shifts.
Clear confirmation for anything that cannot be undone, with no ambiguous buttons.
Dark, low-luminance themes for night operations and bright-sun readability outdoors.
Sensor health, link status and data freshness always visible, so operators know what to trust.
Most teams start small and grow the work once they see results.
In 1–2 weeks we review your current interface and show where operators lose time or trust.
In 4–8 weeks we redesign the most critical flows, from detection to engagement.
A design system and React front-end that scale across sensors, modules and roles.

Yes. We design around the sensors you use, such as radar, RF, EO/IR or acoustic, and the data your system produces. Your engineers or our senior partners handle the integrations.
Yes. We work under NDA, only with material you are allowed to share, and use sample or synthetic data for designs and prototypes. We do not hold security clearances.
Yes. We build front-ends in React, Next.js and TypeScript, including map and WebGL views. Backend and infrastructure work is done by your team or our senior partners.
Yes. We design touch-friendly layouts for tablets and rugged laptops, with night modes and clear offline and degraded states.
A UX audit takes 1–2 weeks; a redesign of core workflows usually takes 4–8 weeks, and larger systems are delivered in stages. Pricing depends on scope; we agree it after the first call.
Drop us a message, Anna reviews every brief personally and gets back to you within one business day. From there it's simple: we align on scope, sign the contract, and book your start date. Fast, clear, no back-and-forth.
